About Me
Personal:
I have lived in central Alberta for about 5 years with my husband and three wild boys. I love being outside (in the summer!!) and enjoying camping, hiking, and time at the lake. I became a therapist because I love hearing people’s stories. I have never met a person that did not have an incredible story; many filled with pain and upset, and many filled with resiliency and fight. I am passionate about helping people to see their worth and supporting them towards becoming the human that they long to be.
Professional:
I am a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working with mental health and addictions. My background has given me experience in supporting folks with a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, ADHD, self-esteem, emotional regulation, anger, and self-harm. I have extensive experience working with folks who struggle with substance use as well as process/behavioral addictions (sexual, gambling, shopping, etc.).
My main goal is to work towards undoing loneliness. I naturally see the world through the lens of attachment. The way that we attach to other people impacts how we show up in all relationships. I see so many folks who are longing for connection and look for it in unhealthy places and ways. I want to connect with you and help you feel less alone in this world. My hope is to support you with acquiring and maintaining healthy and sustainable connections through learning your attachment style and supporting you towards developing secure and strong connections.
In our sessions, you can expect a warm and supportive environment where your voice is heard and what you say truly matters. Therapy is a partnership, where we work together to uncover your strengths, explore challenges, and create positive change at your own pace. If you are ready to begin your journey towards healing, please reach out on my contact page or book an appointment.
